Built to exceed all U.S. Navy specifications, the E1023 Shrouded Taper Nose/J series in-line latching Cam type connectors are available in vulcanized and field attachable styles. A positive connection is made through a unique latching design. (demo) Reverse it and insert into the female. It has a NEMA 4 watertight seal. 

The positive latching features come from the teeth inside the female and the blade of the male. So when the two are mated, (demo twisting and latch clicking) they will latch into place, and not back out. All three series are positive latching.

Used in America's premier shipyards like Norfolk Naval, Portsmouth Naval shipyard, and Pearl Harbor, the E1023 features a new contact design that eliminates the possibility of contact rotation within the molded insulating sleeve. (demonstrating) It is ideally suited for a wide range of applications. 

 

These connectors feature a taper-nose style insulating hood and sleeve to allow a splash-tight seal between male and female contacts. The E1023 series comes in varying degrees of protective assemblies.

We begin with loose connectors, which will get attached to the cable. To secure, they can be crimped, or use a double set screw. Once assembled, crimp styles can either be shrink-tubed with a hose clamp, or--upgrade your protection with a vulcanized assembly, where everything is sealed on the back end. 

 

Vulcanizing entails wrapping uncured rubber around the end of the sleeve and then a hand molding press will secure everything. You can do this at your location with a vulcanizing press, or Duraline can take care of that for you.

When you're ready to disconnect, simply unlock the connector by pressing the insulated external button. These connectors are heavy duty, completely insulated, and are vibration resistant, ensuring high conductivity and maximum efficiency.

Offering the most rugged protection, “X power” is our top of the line assembly. The contact is molded directly to the cable. With no separate sleeve, we literally connect it to the male contact, connect that to the cable, and mold the sleeve right over the cable and connector at the same time. 

 

By far this assembly will last the longest in this series.

We have a variety of receptacles to distribute power.

They can be mounted on panels, electrical panels, power panel packs, distribution panels, generators, and battery backup. 

 

Available as a 15 , 30, and 90 degree female or male receptacle, the 15 degree can be equipped with a micro switch. This micro switch allows control of the circuit breaker. Until every connector is plugged in, the breaker will not activate. These would be the general use kind of receptacle. 

 

After general use, the heavy duty receptacles are used for shore power applications, pier power, and ship-to-shore power needs. (demo) These receptacles are the same as the general use receptacles, but you can tell they're much beefier. They're not going to break, they're going to last a lot longer.

We have a “no cable” version. You can have a stud or a tapped hole. The cable version is molded directly to the cable. So, you get the water-tight seal, and you don't have to worry about anything breaking down inside the housing. We have female and male receptacles depending on what you need.

 

There are a variety of housing configurations, with in-house manufactured components. Our new standard came out in 2020. These housings are all stainless steel and powder coated, providing long-lasting, rugged protection.

 

Now this one here is a  “stud back” housing. It's a male 30 degree housing receptacle with color coded snap covers (demo) for each of the contacts. 

(point to) This one here would use “crimp lugs” on cable in order to connect to the back of blocks.

This one is a female “on cable”, or the Male “on cable”. 

You have 30 degrees males, with buttons to undo the latches.

They come with protective caps or snap covers.

Here is a short block female receptacle with caps. 

We have top and bottom plates that come in different configurations.

They are available with snap covers or with caps. 

 

Everything can be customized with 8 standard colors. Housings can be configured with 3, 4 or 5 gang designs. Even mixing male and female blocks in the same housing is possible.
