The Particulars of Formatting a Teleprompter Script.

Loading the program is more than copy/paste/change background color/change text color.

How words appear on a line contributes to the ease a reader has with the text, so I move words from one line to the next, and keep phrases, proper nouns, etc on one line.

Italicizing lengthy names of places or programs helps the reader know to read it as such.

Spacing between thoughts and powerful statements is another consideration,

as is the punctuation, and hyphenations. (remind me to share my 6th grade experience with a hyphenated word...)

When I am with the talent, I make adjustments during their read, based upon where they may have had a stumble, or awkward intonation. Occasionally I re-type the word to visually appear as it is spoken, or I alter the color of a letter, portion of a word, or entire word to "give a cautionary alert" to the reader.
